| The Wood Stork (Mycteria americana) is the only type of stork native to North America. Wood storks are wetland birds. That means that they live near water. They can be found in swamps, marshes, and ponds in the southern United States and have been listed on the endangered species list since 1984. This individual was photographed on the gulf cost of Florida. | ||||
