| The Javelina (Tayassu tajacu) lives in the desert scrub of southern and central Arizona and is most commonly found along creeks and washes. It lives and travels in small herds. During the summer months, the javelina will often rest through the heat of the day and feed in the cool of the night. This one was taken at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum were they are housed in a very large "wild" setting. |
